The Doctoral Academy is looking for a dynamic and innovative self-starter who will have the opportunity to take on a challenging and varied role that is at the heart of delivering the faculty\'s ambitious postgraduate researcher (PGR) strategy. The postholder is central to the Doctoral Academy\'s vision to provide the highest quality PGR experience by offering expert financial advice and support to our funded PGR students and advising our academic colleagues within the faculty.

As the go-to expert you will be a proactive individual able to lead on the coordination and delivery of postgraduate research (PGR) funding activities across the faculty. You will be at the forefront of student engagement, representing the funding interests for our PGR community and provide exceptional face-to-face support so that PGRs receive the best possible support during their research careers.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a funding and/or finance role, ideally supporting student finance arrangements, and will have experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial management. You will have strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills and be able to manage a complex funding portfolio. You will need to be innovative, well-organised and meticulous to allow you to drive forward financial process change within the Doctoral Academy team. As a natural collaborator and an excellent communicator, you will build strong working relationships with academic and professional services colleagues across the institution, as well as with external stakeholders.

There are 2 roles available, one in each of the Doctoral Academy Teams in the Faculty of Science and Engineering as well as in the Faculty of Biology Medicine and Health.
