Job Category: Academic:Grade UE07: xc2xa340,497 - xc2xa348,149 per annum, pro-rata if part timeCMVM/Institute for Regeneration and Repair/Centre for Regenerative MedicineFull-time: 35 hours per weekFixed term: 18 monthsThe Opportunity:This is a chance to join the dynamic research group of Prof. Katrin Ottersbach and work on a project focused on understanding the unique biology of infant leukaemia with a view to developing new therapeutic targets for this devastating disease. The lab is located in the Centre for Regenerative Medicine within the Institute for Regeneration and Repair at the world-class University of Edinburgh and provides a stimulating research environment with access to cutting-edge technology and expertise in a wide range of stem cell and disease models.This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.The salary for this post is xc2xa340,497 to xc2xa348,149 per annum, pro rata if part time.Your skills and attributes for success:

• A PhD (or to be completed within 3 months of interview date) and experience in the field of developmental haematopoiesis and leukaemia
• Ability to conduct and independently drive a lab-based research project at a postdoctoral level
• Excellent planning and communication skills
• Contribution to a productive research group environment
• Experience in human foetal haematopoiesis and/or cancer research models
