The Faculty of History seeks to appoint a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate for a two-year period (starting between 1 October 2023 and 1 January 2024).
The project is based at the Universities of Cambridge (PI: Professor Mary Laven) and St Andrews (CI: Professor Emily Michelson). This post will be based primarily in the Faculty of History at the University of Cambridge, where the successful applicant will work under the supervision of the PI, Professor Mary Laven. During the second year of the post, the PDRA will divide their time between the History Faculty and the Fitzwilliam Museum, spending at least 20% of their time at the Museum, where they will be supported and supervised by the Keeper of European Sculpture & Decorative Arts.
This position will involve some international travel as well as the possibility of evening or weekend work in order to run or attend project-related events.
It is essential that the preferred candidate is educated to PhD level in a relevant discipline, preferably in early modern studies.
