What\xe2\x80\x99s the Role: Positive Behavioural Support Worker

What It Takes:

An important role of the staff team is to enable the people we support to live as independently as possible in a community setting achieving a high quality of life.

So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.

Our dedicated staff team support our service users to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our service users with day to day life.

Where You Would Work: Portadown Bespoke Services

Due to ongoing expansion of the scheme, we have vacancies available.

Portadown Bespoke Services is a service which provides person centred support to young adults with complex needs associated with learning disabilities. The individuals may also have autism, and/or mental ill health, and engage in behaviours of concern.

Each successful applicant will work as part of a dedicated team to provide a consistently high quality support service within a caring environment. Through a key worker system and use of advanced positive behaviour methodologies, employees will have the opportunity to develop individual programmes of support for the individuals in our services.

You will be champions in the positive behaviour support approach, and Praxis Care will support you to attain competence through formal qualifications and experience. We work very much as team and there is always senior staff available for advice and guidance.

Salary Details:

Positive Behavior Support Worker

Full Time, Night Duty and Relief Contracts available

\xc2\xa323,554 - \xc2\xa326,543 per annum *

*Salary based on 39 hours per week. Salary dependent on /experience. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of \xc2\xa345.00 per night applies*
