About the Role

This is a key role within the global Real Estate & Workplace Centre of Excellence (CoE) team and is responsible for delivery of real estate portfolio services (acquisition, portfolio management and disposal) across the OUP\xe2\x80\x99s EMEA and Americas real estate portfolio (c.85 properties).

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage and coordinate real estate activity across a diverse regional portfolio of operational and investment properties.
  • Partner with senior members and functional business partners in the OUP\xe2\x80\x99s business divisions to support development of property strategies aligned to business needs.
  • Support the management and development of the OUP\xe2\x80\x99s property/lease database (currently hosted by an external provider) and ensure that portfolio data is maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Promote best corporate real estate practice across the portfolio in support of the OUP\xe2\x80\x99s core strategic property objectives of maximizing utilization of the OUP\xe2\x80\x99s space.
  • Prepare and manage property and project-related budgets and expenditure.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the OUP\xe2\x80\x99s third party suppliers.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

This is a fixed term contract for 24 months.

About You

In this role you will partner with the OUP\xe2\x80\x99s business divisions to support the development and implementation of property strategies in support of business needs, ensuring consistent application of the OUP\xe2\x80\x99s global real estate standards and processes.

Skills and Attributes:
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships and effectively influence and gain support for ideas.
  • Possess a sound understanding of the real estate industry and strong persuasive presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with ad hoc data modelling.
  • Experience of managing real estate within a corporate environment, across multiple geographies and across multiple asset classes.
  • Strong commercial acumen, able to place real estate in a wider business context and capable of providing robust and accurate advice to business divisions.
  • Strong financial, analytical and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly customer-focused, willing to strive for excellence.
  • Experience of managing real estate software systems and lease databases.
