Pool Table Technician

Automatic Machine Services (AMS) are the leading Amusement and Gaming machine suppliers to the Southeast. AMS is a member of the Cowells-Arrow Bingo group of companies.

The role is multi-faceted to include (but not limited to):

The preparation, repair, maintenance, and installation of Pool Tables, gaming machines, and other amusement equipment.

Responsible for diagnosing faults, performing technical repairs, and providing support for on-site and workshop-based maintenance.

Covering for absent or unavailable technicians, installers & collectors across multiple locations,

The role requires high flexibility and adaptability, gaming and amusement machine servicing, as well as the ability to support large-scale project rollouts and machine upgrades with minimal supervision.

Pool Table Technician

Assemble, install, level, and repair pool tables and associated gaming equipment.

Recover and re-felt tables, replacing cushions and rails as necessary.

Diagnose and repair mechanical or structural issues with tables.

Transport and relocate pool tables safely, ensuring proper reassembly.

Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on pool tables to ensure longevity and playability.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment both on-site and in the workshop.

Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.

Keep detailed records of work completed, parts used, and customer interactions.

Machine Installation & Commissioning

Install, configure, and test gaming and amusement machines at customer sites, in conjunction with the installs team.

Train customers on machine operation and basic troubleshooting.

Collections

Provide support and cover when required to the collections team. Including completing on-site collections.

Project-Based Work

Support technical projects such as machine relocations, and technology upgrades.

Ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

The role will involve working in pubs, clubs, and other entertainment venues.

Will require lifting, carrying, and installing heavy gaming equipment.

Other:

Liaise with other members of the Cowells Group to ensure effective communication and efficient and effective working practices.

Ensure compliance with all applicable Health & Safety legislation.

Ensure compliance with all applicable Fire regulations and legislation.

Travel will be required to visit customer premises and complete machine/equipment repairs, installations & collections. Therefore, a current UK Full Driving Licence is required.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working hours are 44.5 per week, Monday - Friday

Salary: 28,685 per year
