Poct Rapid Covid Testing Support Officer
Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic and confident individuals to work as part of the Samba Rapid Respiratory Testing / Point of Care Testing Team, providing a comprehensive supporting role to all our SRRS staff and all users of Point of Care equipment. The equipment provide results that cover blood gas analysis, full blood count , blood glucose and ketones, urinalysis and more point of care devices. The Point of Care Team co-ordinates the appraisal, introduction and use of analytical devices in wards, clinics and departments within the hospital trusts and in the community, allowing quality pathology results to be produced nearer the patient. In the last year the POCT services have expanded the scope to include rapid CoVid and respiratory virus testing, working with Emergency departments to achieve safe admissions pathways.
