KIDS is a national charity which has been supporting disabled children, young people and families since 1970.

We work with children, from birth through to 25 years. Each year we support over 15,000 disabled children, offer over 120 different services and work with about 80 Local Authorities across England.

We are passionate, caring and trusted and our vision is a world in which all disabled children and young people realise their aspirations. We offer support and practical help for families, every step of the way.

About The Role

Hours - 14 hours per week

Location -KIDS Orchard Centre, Lye

Salary - \xc2\xa319,574 FTE per annum

KIDS Orchard Centre is located in Lye( Dudley). This lively and vibrant Centre provides a range of play and short break services for children and young people with SEND needs. Our groups take place after school hours, Saturdays and School holidays.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Play Practitioner to join our fantastic team and support the planning and delivery of our SEND After School Groups and Saturday Family Group.

About You

Skills:

You will be educated to NVQ2 or above in a health / childcare / education related field and be creative and caring in your approach. Good organisational skills and a sound knowledge of safeguarding is essential. You will be committed to ensuring children have a safe and fun time whilst also supporting their individual care needs.

You will be passionate about supporting families where a child/young person has additional needs and have a commitment to continuous improvement.
