Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer/Dryliner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and related trades, demonstrating proficiency in various techniques and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Duties

Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using traditional methods and modern techniques. Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and ensuring they are suitable for application. Work with various materials including cement, lime, and gypsum-based products. Collaborate with carpenters and bricklayers to ensure seamless integration of plasterwork with other construction elements. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to achieve high-quality finishes. Conduct repairs on existing plasterwork, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist in the installation of fixtures that may require plastering around roofs or other structures.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering tasks. Knowledge of masonry techniques is advantageous. Ability to perform basic carpentry tasks is preferred. Familiarity with bricklaying principles can be beneficial for integrated projects. Strong attention to detail with an eye for quality finishes. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Good physical stamina as the role involves manual labour and working at heights when necessary. Access to own tools.
