Job Description

Role Purpose
To carry out all types of plastering and rendering work both internally and externally, including door set installations and associated door furniture and maintenance, installation of signage and window repairs.
Responsibilities

• Carrying out initial inspections to agree scope of works, materials, and timelines.
• Discussing project plans with residents, supervisor, and planners.
• Examining and priming surfaces for plastering.
• Selecting the appropriate plastering materials for different sites.
• Protecting non-plastering surfaces with appropriate materials.
• Applying different plasters and renders to exterior and interior surfaces.
• Fixing and repairing previous plastering work when necessary.
• Reporting any structural issues to supervisor.
• Mixing and preparing mortar, plasters, and other finishes.
• Consulting with other contractors to ensure project deadlines are met timeously.
• Reading and understanding asbestos surveys.
• Ability to work at height
• To carry out all types of repairs & maintenance works both internally and externally when required, including fencing, decorating, small maintenance tasks, demolition and alteration works and remedial works to complete projects to the customer or client satisfaction as directed by your line manager.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years\' experience in delivering plastering and rendering work within a responsive repairs environment in a comparable organisation including delivering services in a customer-focused environment setting.
• Social Housing / council work experience.
• Relevant trade qualification NVQ2 or city in guilds, and / or membership of a professional body in your specific trade (desirable)
• Full UK drivers License

Contract

• Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
• Inital 6 month contract
• PAYE via Umbrella
