Job Description
Role Overview:
We are looking for experienced Plant Mechanics/Fitters to join our team at one of our key operational sites. This is a full-time, hands-on role maintaining and repairing a range of heavy plant equipment across active waste and construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on
Volvo
andCaterpillar
plant equipment. Work onExcavators, Loading Shovels, and Dumpers.
Respond to breakdowns promptly and ensure minimal downtime. Perform preventative maintenance and inspections. Maintain accurate service records and adhere to company safety policies. Work both on-site and in workshop environments as needed.Requirements:
Minimum
5 years experience
in plant maintenance within thewaste or construction sector.
Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on ability withVolvo
andCaterpillar
machinery. Full UK driving license -Van provided.
Able to work independently and take initiative under pressure. Willingness to work60 hours per week
, including possible weekends or call-out.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to 24.00 per hour
