Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant operations and a keen understanding of food safety and meal preparation. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delectable dishes that not only satisfy our guests but also reflect our commitment to quality and excellence in the kitchen.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the restaurant's menu and standards. Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Oversee food preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop new recipes and enhance existing menu items. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices. Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment, ensuring it is clean, safe, and in good working order. Help manage kitchen operations during peak hours to ensure timely service.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations. Excellent culinary skills with a passion for meal preparation and presentation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
