Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of physics concepts and the ability to engage students in the learning process. This role involves educating students at various levels, fostering a love for science, and preparing them for future academic pursuits. The Physics Teacher will also be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment that accommodates diverse learning needs.

Duties



Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cover the physics curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational standards. Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations to enhance students' understanding of theoretical concepts. Provide one-on-one mentoring and tutoring to students who require additional support in physics or related subjects. Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning. Assess student progress through regular testing, assignments, and feedback, adapting teaching methods as necessary. Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects that integrate physics with other scientific disciplines such as biochemistry. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational practices and advancements in scientific research. Support students with special educational needs by adapting teaching methods and materials accordingly.

Requirements



A degree in Physics or a related field, along with a recognised teaching qualification. Proven experience in teaching physics at secondary or post-secondary levels is preferred. Strong mentoring and tutoring skills, with the ability to inspire students of varying abilities. Familiarity with laboratory practices and safety protocols in a science education setting. Excellent behaviour management skills to create an effective learning environment. Proficiency in mathematics as it relates to physics concepts. Strong organisational skills, including the ability to proofread educational materials for clarity and accuracy. A commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom that supports all learners, including those with special educational needs.

Pay: 46,709.00-55,301.00 per year
