This is an innovative idea to give newly qualified or more experienced Physician Associates the chance to work in a progressive neuroscience group.
Main duties of the job
You will assess and examine patients, manage a specific caseload of patients, present them, initiate and interpret investigations and recommend treatment, whilst exercising a high level of professional judgment and expertise when delivering care. You will be supervised by a designated consultant and work alongside a highly-trained and committed team of doctors and nurses, working collaboratively with other members of the clinical team within the Trust\'s policies and clinical guidelines
It is expected that the Physician Associates will become involved in the activities of the Department, including review of inpatients, assessment of acute admissions (including through Accident and Emergency), practical procedures and outpatient clinics. It would be envisaged that the role would be developed flexibly over time in accordance with the appointee\'s ability and interests.
Successful applicants will undergo an induction programme to help them adapt their skills and knowledge to the service, under the supervision of the Physician Associate training consultant.
The posts would suit Physician Associates looking to work in a very exciting, very rewarding but demanding environment. Quick thinking, flexible and thorough professionals will find the post to their liking.
