Predominantly remote but we have multiple sites across the UK that may require an infrequent onsite presence

xc2xa3550 per dayIn short: Project Manager from Operational Sites required to deliver the installation of Starlink technology across circa 30 gas sites in the UK. Any physical installation experience is acceptable (like CCTV or alarm systems) as long as you can demonstrate the knowledge of certain hazardous environments ie gas, oil, electricity etc.You will be delivering the project, working with suppliers, handling resources and budgets.In full:Purpose:

  • The Project Manager is responsible for managing, leading, controlling, and supporting the project team toward a successful project outcome (one that achieves the stated benefits for the project) within the appropriate time, cost and quality criteria.
  • The PM will be responsible for managing the design, install, commissioning of 20 -30 Starlink solutions across remote gas sites across England, Scotland and Wales in the next 12 months.
  • The PM will work at pace to co-ordinate the roll out and comply with design standards ensuring the quality of installation. Adhering to all Gas Transmission Cyber standards and procedures as determined by the scope or works.
  • The PM will manage direct and indirect reports including engineers, analysts and external suppliers to ensure that all the necessary processes are followed to allow for the roll out of the solution.
  • The PM shall engage with the relevant internal stakeholders including Security, IT, Engineering and Operations.
  • Ensure that the solution transitions across to operations by providing the necessary work procedures and training to operations.
  • The PM will manage supplier meeting, relationship, procurement events etc. to ensure high functioning teams are formed.
Key accountabilities:
  • Maintaining documentation as required to ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulatory requirements
  • Work with IT and Security as required to deliver all relevant IT components and any IT relevant processes are adhered to.
  • Work with Operational Technology as required to deliver all relevant design and process documentation.
  • Ensure the Project team are integrated and fully understand the Delivery Process within the Programme
  • Work with the Programme Management Team to develop and agree the overall direction and integrity of the project. This includes developing and managing the Project Documentation.
  • Provide effective leadership to the project team, ensuring that team members are supported, motivated and developing their skills and experience
  • Ensure all stakeholders including client, business management, users, staff, operational and engineers, IT, Security (as required) fully understand the objectives and scope of the project and are clear in their expectations of the project
  • Effectively estimate and monitor project tasks, costs, time scales, resource requirements and finances for the successful completion of the project. Appropriate intervention and management where these deviate from agreed tolerances complying with governance, business sanctioning authorities and finance procedures as required
  • Management of effective change control procedures ensuring formal approval for any changes to the approved scope and documented
  • Manage the production of the required deliverables of the project and ensuring appropriate review process is in place and approvals are obtained
  • Prepare and maintain project, stage, exception and quality plans and track activities against these plans. Provide regular and accurate reports to the Programme Board as required
  • Identify, assess and manage the risks, assumptions, issues and decisions (RAID) to the success of the project, including developing effective mitigation where required
  • Ensure the project is formally closed and documented. Lessons learnt are captured and the projects status and reports are updated
Knowledge and experience:
  • Experience of project delivery in an operational technology site such as gas, oil or similar is essential.
  • Experience of delivery of communications projects (starlink or similar technology beneficial but not essential)
  • IT networking projects (beneficial but not essential)
  • Has proven leadership, stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills
  • A good track record of delivering complex projects
