What are we looking for?
We are recruiting Pharmacy Technicians to play a key part in the efficient day to day running of the dispensary and assisting the Lead Dispensary and Stores Technician and Pharmacy Operations Manager when required. You will assist with the ordering and storage of stock, prepare labels and dispense prescriptions, and give advice to patients on the use of their dispensed medications. This is a rotational role in which you will be involved in the implementation of our Operational Supply Services including operation of the dispensing automation such as our BD Pyxis\xe2\x84\xa2 Automated Dispensing Cabinets, Carousels and CII Safe, our Swisslog Therapick\xe2\x84\xa2 Unit Dose Repackaging Robot and our IT Epic\xe2\x84\xa2 EMR system.
This role will start on our Outpatient Services rotation where you will be integral to the development and implementation of our supply service with our Operations Pharmacist with the goal of optimizing patient safety and experience. As a result we are seeking a self-initiating technician with strong communication skills and adaptability to change to represent our Pharmacy Team and to help support our 24/7 service needs, including both day and night services. What we need from you:
Experience of working in the stores and distribution department
Experience of working in a busy dispensary department
Previous hospital pharmacy experience is preferred
Experience of purchasing pharmaceuticals
Registered Pharmacy Technician with GPhC.
