Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team to work in a non community setting. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and support. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of the pharmacy and enhance patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities



Accurately prepare and dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries regarding medications, dosages, and potential side effects. Assist in medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions dispensed, inventory levels, and medication returns. Ensure that the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes through effective medication management. Participate in continuous professional development to stay updated on pharmaceutical practices and regulations.

Requirements



Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient care practices. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals, demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems for managing prescriptions and inventory. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
