Job Description

The Pharmacy Dispenser plays a crucial role in the healthcare system, ensuring that patients receive their prescribed medications accurately and efficiently. This position involves working closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care, manage medication administration, and maintain a well-organised pharmacy environment. We are looking for one candidate to fill a full time role as a qualified dispenser and join our independent pharmacy. It is a great opportunity to work as part of a dedicated hard-working team in busy community pharmacies. We are looking for a candidate to use their skill set to undertake tasks such as dispensing, labelling, stock control as well as liaising with local GP surgeries and other healthcare teams. The applicant must have excellent communication skills to provide professional service to our customers. Attention to detail is an essential requirement and the applicant must be enthusiastic and willing to undertake ongoing training and further their development.

Duties



Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Assist pharmacists in preparing and labelling medications for patient use. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management. Provide information to patients regarding their medications, including dosage instructions and potential side effects. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication management. Conduct regular stock checks and assist in ordering supplies as necessary. Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy to promote a safe working environment.

Skills



Proven experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser or in a similar role is highly desirable. Strong understanding of patient care principles and medication administration protocols. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.

Pay: 12.75 per hour
