Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team, working 40 hours per week on a rota basis. The successful candidate will have the ability to work some weekends and later nights, between 7.30am and 10pm.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate dispensing of medications and providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a flexible and motivated individual, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Provide patient care by answering queries regarding medications, dosages, and administration methods. Assist in medication administration under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and medication dispensed, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes and address any medication-related issues. Ensure the pharmacy is well-stocked with medications and supplies, performing inventory checks as required. Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser is highly desirable. Knowledge of medication administration practices and patient care principles advantageous. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals, demonstrating empathy and professionalism. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
