Counter Assistant - Pharmacy

Location: Stratford-upon-Avon

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Counter Assistant to join our team at our community-focused Pharmacy based in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon.
This role is essential in delivering excellent customer service and supporting our healthcare team.
We provide full in-house training and access to external training courses.
We also welcome applications from individuals interested in starting as an Apprentice.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries at the counter.

Accurately and efficiently process customer orders.

Provide information on medications, including usage and possible side effects, to ensure patient understanding (with pharmacist supervision where necessary).

Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring products are well-stocked and properly displayed.

Assist with medication administration tasks under the supervision of qualified personnel.

Handle customer concerns and complaints with professionalism and empathy.

Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and healthcare professionals to deliver the best patient care.

Skills and Qualities

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is highly desirable but not essential.

Strong understanding of patient care practices and medication protocols (training will be provided).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.

Strong organisational skills with a focus on outstanding customer service.

A compassionate, empathetic, and caring approach in all interactions.
