Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications to patients, ensuring that all prescriptions are filled in accordance with legal and regulatory standards. You will play a crucial role in patient care, providing essential support to pharmacists and contributing to the overall health and well-being of our community.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Verify patient information and medication orders for accuracy and completeness. Provide guidance to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and storage requirements. Serving patients and assisting with health queries and offering appropriate treatments Assist in managing inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies. Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure optimal patient care and medication management. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new medications, procedures, and pharmacy technologies.

Skills

Proven experience as Pharmacy Assistant/Dispenser or in a similar role within a pharmacy setting, preferred Strong knowledge of medication administration and pharmaceutical terminology. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks accurately under pressure. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 45 per week
