We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist to join our Primary Care teams working across HMP Preston and HMP Kirkham. Within this role you will be working 3 days per week at HMP Preston a category B remand prison and 2 days per week at HMP Kirkham a category D prison both located in Preston. This is a fantastic role for a Pharmacist who enjoys developing pharmacy services and wants to make the role their own, as part of this position you will be delivering medication reviews, clinics and a small amount of dispensing.Hours8am-4pm Monday to FridayWorking across 2 sitesSalaryThis position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary from 349,848 up to 355,996 per annum depending on experienceHow will we support you?

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checksWhat you'll be doingAt Practice Plus Group our pharmacy teams ensure medicines optimisation is embedded into everyday practice.You'll be responsible for
  • The provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service.
  • Working closely with the Head of Healthcare and the multidisciplinary team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the provision of service meets the contractual obligations.
  • The role involves providing daily expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring that a safe but modern medicines management service is provided to prisoners.
  • You will lead a team of support staff and work closely with a range of clinicians and non-clinicians from Primary Care, Mental Health, and other health partners in ensuring effective delivery of pharmacy services.

You will be a qualified Registered Pharmacist- BSc or Masters Degree in Pharmacy, holding registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
