Pets By Plane is a family-run company dedicated to transporting household pets safely and comfortably to over 150 countries worldwide. As we continue to expand, we're on the lookout for energetic, driven, and results-oriented Pet Travel Consultants to help us reach new clients and grow into new markets.

Role Overview:

As a Pet Travel Consultant, you'll be at the forefront of our sales operations -driving revenue, nurturing client relationships, and managing a steady flow of leads. This is a commission-incentivised role with excellent earning potential based on your performance. If you're passionate about animals, love connecting with people, and have a flair for sales, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! Full training will be provided, but a genuine interest in pets, sales, and aviation is a definite plus.

Key Responsibilities

Inbound Sales & Quote Preparation

: Respond to inbound enquiries by preparing accurate, tailored travel quotes. Use software to determine optimal flight routes based on the client's needs and input them.

Lead Management & Follow-Up

: Proactively follow up with clients after sending quotes. Maintain and organise your sales pipeline, ensuring warm leads are nurtured and older leads are re-engaged. Confidence in phone communication is essential.

Social Media Engagement

: Leverage social media platforms and online forums to identify potential leads. Engage with pet shipping communities online and contribute to our social media marketing efforts.

New Business Development

: Research and identify potential marketing channels such as estate agents and relocation services where leads could be sourced.

Partner Business Collaboration

: Collaborate with our partner company that specialises in horse transport via aircraft. This includes opportunities to assist on airport runways, help with cargo loading, and even fly on chartered flights.

International Travel

: Attend international pet travel conferences for professional development and networking. This year we are going to Bangkok and Istanbul.

After-Hours Flexibility

: Some out-of-hours availability may be necessary due to the time-sensitive nature of international animal transport. Time off in lieu is provided as needed.

What We're Looking For

Sales Experience

: Prior experience in a sales role is preferred but not essential.

Pet Enthusiasm

: A genuine love for animals and basic knowledge of common pet travel needs (vaccinations, welfare, etc.).

Target-Driven Mindset

: Self-motivated and eager to exceed targets--able to work both independently and within a team.

Strong Communicator

: Confident on the phone and in writing, with a professional, empathetic manner when dealing with pet owners.

Customer-Focused

: Understands the emotional nature of pet travel and can provide solutions that prioritise customer peace of mind.

Tech-Savvy

: Comfortable using Excel and learning quoting software.

Interest in Aviation

: Opportunities to engage directly with aviation operations, including occasional airport visits and charter flight involvement.

Willingness to Learn

: Open to training and learning about international travel regulations, pet welfare, and logistics.
