As a PET Chemist, you will operate the clean room and associated devices at our cyclotron facility on the Nottingham City Hospital campus. You will help ensure that the requirements of radiopharmaceutical production, radiation compliance, health and safety, good manufacturing practice and licensing commitments are met.
In your first few weeks in this Production Chemist role, you can expect to:
\xc2\xb7 Assist the Head of Production to ensure that production and QC activities are performed to the PETNET Quality System in accordance with cGMP
\xc2\xb7 Produce radiopharmaceuticals and carry out environmental monitoring according to schedule
\xc2\xb7 Maintain/trend production equipment
\xc2\xb7 Perform cleaning and maintenance of the clean room and associated devices
\xc2\xb7 Assist in the periodic review of PETNET standard operating procedures and writing of new procedures as required.
The ideal candidate will have PET radiopharmaceutical production and/or testing experience. Otherwise, one of the following would be highly desirable:
\xc2\xb7 Analytical chemistry methods in a cGMP environment, possibly in the pharmaceutical sector or clean room experience working to gMP
\xc2\xb7 A science degree or equivalent in Chemistry or Radiochemistry would also be beneficial although not essential.
