Role Overview:
As a
Claimant Personal Injury Paralegal
, you will manage your own caseload of personal injury claims. With the support of the team, you will handle everything from the initial instruction to pre-litigation settlement. This role will give you the opportunity to develop your legal skills while taking responsibility for managing cases from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage a caseload of claimant personal injury matters, mainly road traffic accidents.
Provide clients with clear advice and regular updates on their cases, ensuring effective communication throughout.
Draft legal documents such as claim forms, witness statements, and correspondence.
Obtain and assess medical reports, witness statements, and expert evidence.
Ensure case progression is efficiently managed from start to finish, meeting deadlines and adhering to legal processes.
Liaise with third parties, such as insurance companies, medical professionals, and experts, to progress cases.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records using case management systems.
Assist with the preparation of disclosure documents and support solicitors in trial preparation.
Skills and Experience Required:
Proven experience in claimant personal injury law, including managing your own caseload of personal injury claims.
Strong understanding of personal injury law, legal procedures, and the litigation process.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear legal advice and build strong relationships with clients.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
Experience using case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
The ability to work independently, taking ownership of your caseload, while also working as part of a team.
A proactive, client-focused approach to case management and client relations.
Desirable Qualifications:
A law degree (LLB) or equivalent qualification.
Paralegal or legal executive qualification (or working towards).
Experience working within a personal injury firm is advantageous.
