ersonal Assistant/Companion \xe2\x80\x93 Greenlaw/Hume \xe2\x80\x93 2326
A n elderly gentleman living at home with his wife requires a PA to provide him with companionship and general support a couple of times a week whilst his caring wife is out the house. The role is mainly as a companion; however, the post holder would be expected to provide a meal and drinks as the gentleman has a few mobility issues and is unable to stand without having something to steady himself on. The gentleman is a retired farmer that due to a few medical issues, including encephalitis, means he is unsteady and unable to be left alone for long periods of time. He also has limited vision which means that depth perception is difficult. His home is well equipped, and he manages very well with all other aspects of daily life. Terms: H- ours per week: 10 hours per week H
- ours of work: 10am-3pm 2 days a week, preferably Wednesday and Friday but there may be a degree of flexibility within this that can be discussed with the family. \xc2\xa3
- 12 per hour. P
- aid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata P
- robationary period of 3 months

- o support with general care needs including lunch meal and hot drinks preparation and T
- o develop a positive relationship with the client and his family. T
