He has been attending Abingdon college since September 2021 (MacIntyre Abingdon Partnership scheme - MAP). He is reasonably independent with his personal care although can occasionally need help, particularly with zips and buttons. He has routines and rituals and can become anxious, particularly at times of transitions, and can become agitated when he feels hurried. He is quite a sociable and personable young man with a slapstick sense of humour. His special interests include music, radio stations, buses, trains, going to the cinema, fun fairs, and hotel trips. He has a helpful and detailed Positive Behaviour Support plan.
The job involves supporting our son to do activities in the community once or twice a month on a Saturday afternoon.
