If so, then we have a great opening for a Permit Coordinator to join Turnbull Team and work on Europe\'s largest civil engineering project at Hinkley Point C.What you\'ll doAs Permit Inspector, you\'ll be part of the team responsible for controlling and coordinating all utilities and assets works on site, making sure that safe working practices are adhered to. Your role focuses on issuing and monitoring work control documentation for a wide range of site activities including excavations, confined spaces, hot works, working at height, loading and lifting operations. You\'ll also coordinate work interfaces between teams and monitor work delivery to ensure that permit controls are being implemented correctly. Additionally, you will review contractor risk assessments and method statements against current health and safety guidance and NNB procedures.Dealing with contractors/supervisors out on their work platforms to overcome unforeseen or reactive issues involved with construction activities, ensuring work can continue in a safe and compliant manner, according to site expectations and industry regulations.What you\'ll needTo be successful we are looking for:Experiences and QualificationsPrevious experience in civil engineering or in the construction, maintenance and operation of services and utilities on site is vital. You\'ll also need to have worked at a supervisory level or as an authorised person for Working at Height, Confined Spaces, Hot Works and Lifting Operations.A large part of your role will be to support and uphold a strong safety culture, so you\'ll need a working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Workplace (Health and Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992, RIDDOR regulations 1995, CDM Regulations 2015 and the CDM approved code of Practice. We\'ll need you to have a valid CSCS card and SMSTS qualification too.Personal SpecificationThis role deals with a wide range of site and office staff from our own Turnbull team and contractors to the NNB Site Ops team. You need to be confident to build good working relationships with all these groups and maintain a professional approach when balancing the demands of different stakeholders. As well as your people skills, you\'ll have to be organised, adaptable and have good computer skills. You\'ll be using the full Microsoft Office suite and other software packages, ideally, you\'ll have experience using CAD or True View. You\'ll be based in our offices on site but will also be working outside. You may have to work on other local sites on occasion, so you will need a full driving licence.This role works to a 40hr Mon-Fri.
