Permanent Veterinary Surgeon Bridgwater, Somerset

• Are you a qualified and RCVS registered veterinary surgeon or soon to be?
• Looking for some weekend work around Bridgwater, Somerset?

We are recruiting on behalf of an RCVS accredited hospital in Bridgewater, Somerset for Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a part time basis working weekends only. The practice are fleixble and can offer either Saturday or Sundays or both and are also able to accommodate a consulting only role.

The hospital is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. It is in the beautiful countryside of Somerset. They boast a team of 6 vets, 8 nurses and 8 members of the support team. They also operate a separate OOH emergency team.

They pride themselves on providing a supportive and friendly culture within the practice with a large focus on staff wellbeing.

They provide veterinary services to small animals, wildlife and are currently developing the exotics service within the hospital. They are known for their varied case load and their surgical experience with wildlife.

Who are they looking for:

• Small animal veterinary surgeon ideally with exotics experience but this is not essential
• They will have a good level of small animal experience and be able to treat the wildlife and exotic cases
• An enthusiastic and motivated vet who is looking to develop their surgical and medical skills.
• A vet with excellent client skills and communication skills
• Enthusiastic and approachable manner

Salary

• Salary: Up to \xc2\xa340,000 - \xc2\xa355,000 pro rata per annum, commensurate to experience
• Holidays: 5 weeks annual leave pro rata
• CPD: Generous allowance of 1,700 plus 5 days leave
• Memberships: RCVS and VDS fees paid

Must haves:

RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be
