We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Bicester, Oxfordshire for a Permanent Weekend Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This is a weekend role offering 9 hours on both a Saturday and Sunday. The practice can offer flexibility in terms of weekends worked EG The role could be weekly, or once a month.

The role
The role will be based within the small animal Hospital
The role will focus on emergency and hospital care of patients however it can be flexible towards the right Vet - For example it can be a consulting only role instead of a mixture of both or surgical
The role offers a wide variety of cases
The position offers 9 hours shifts both Saturday and Sunday however the practice are flexible on the frequency of these
The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

Busy practice offering a varied and interesting case load
They are able to offer a wide variety of modern veterinary services and offer facilities including Ultrasound - both abdominal and cardiac, digital endoscopy, IDEXX Lab, incubator, ligasure and a multiparameter monitoring equipment.
The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.
They encourage Vets to establish strong working relationships with clients therefore they strongly believe in case continuity where possible.
They can support areas of special interest which they also believe will benefit the services within the practice.

There is a large team of 11 Vets and 13 nurses
They understand the importance of development and support and encourage clinical interests
They understand the importance of a happy team and mental health and wellbeing and regularly have case and team discussions
They understand the difficulties that the vet industry can face, and they ensure that each member of staff support each other and strive each day to provide a positive and encouraging work environment
About you
They will be a team player, with good interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong working relationships.
The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills.
The Vet will always maintain a high standard of clinical care
Package
Salary: Up to \xc2\xa350,000 pro rata, commensurate to experience
Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave pro rata incl bank holidays
CPD: Generous allowance of \xc2\xa31,500 with 20 hours to attend
