We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Shenley, Hertfordshire for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join them on either a full or part time basis. This role offers a 40 hour working week over a 4 day period. There are a mixture of early and late shifts. There is a 1:4 weekend rota working in the morning with a day off in lieu after working a weekend. The practice would consider part time applications from a Vet willing to work one evening per week and the weekend.

The role
The role will be based across both of the practice sites. One being a consulting only branch and the second a hospital.
The role offers a mixture of consultations and surgeries. The Vet will be working alongside a team who have a variety of special interests and this is encouraged and supported.
Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run / holidays /lifestyle.
The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

1st Opinion practice with two sites. A Hospital and branch surgery.
The practice is fully equipped offering a wide range of diagnostics and veterinary services including equipment for dental suite, in house lab, ultrasound, dental and digital x-ray and endoscopy.

Who are they looking for
A Vet with a special interest in heart scans / cardiology or ophthalmology would be an advantageous but not essential.
The Vet will be a team player, with good interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong working relationships.
The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills.
The Vet will be able to organise their own time well and remain calm under pressure.
Package
Salary: Up to \xc2\xa365,000 pro rata commensurate to experience
Holidays: 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays increasing with service and birthday off
CPD: \xc2\xa31,000 allowance with 40 paid hours
