We are recruiting for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice in Loanhead, Midlothian.
This role is full time for 40 hours per week with shifts between 8:30am and 7pm, along with 1 in 3 weekends. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
The vet would be joining a team of 2 other vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN and support team along with a practice manager.
The vet will have a strong level of experience and be confident in 1st opinion medicine and surgery. They must also be comfortable with some sole charge work.

You will be confident in routine surgeries and consultations
You will enjoy leading a team and supporting and mentoring others

You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
You will want to contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff
You will be a strong team player
