We are looking for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice in Stockport, Cheshire. This role is full or part time with 1 in 3 weekends.
The practice is expanding their team due to growth and now need additional vets to join their existing team comprising of 12 vets, 10 RVNs and a supportive non-clinical team.
The practice pride themselves on providing a supportive, friendly, and professional environment which in turn has ensured a low staff turnover.
This is an established practice which is continuing to grow, and they have an excellent local reputation for providing a high-class level of veterinary care. It is a modern and spacious practice which is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. They see a varied case load and also have visiting specialist in soft tissue, cardiology and imaging so rarely are cases referred so this offers the Vets opportunities for clinical development.
All members of the team are encouraged and supported to work up all cases to a high level and there is always plenty of support available as there is always a minimum of 6 Vets working at any one time to ensure no sole charge work. During the weekend there are always 4 vets on site and after working a weekend there are shorter working days the following week.
They are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Vets who enjoy a large busy supportive environment with a varying case load each day. It is important that they work well as part of a team and ensure that they work up cases to a high level. They must be confident in routine surgeries and consultations. Ares of special intertester is supported and encouraged.

You will be driven and ambitious
Ambition to study towards areas of special interest are welcome but not essential for the role
You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff
You will be a strong team player

Package:
Salary: \xc2\xa335,000 to \xc2\xa355,000 pro rata, commensurate to experience
