We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal independent practice in Chelmsford for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time for 4 days per week with shifts from 8:30am to 7pm, along with 1 in 2 Saturdays from 8:30am to 12pm. You must be comfortable working sole charge as this will be required 1 day per week.
The practice is recruiting due to expansion and are looking for a Vet who will continue to help them grow further. They offer a supportive team environment, and they have a lovely client base. The Vet will have a minimum of 2 years small animal experience and be comfortable with routine consultations and surgeries. Further CPD is encouraged, and areas of special interests are supported along with clinical freedom. The Vet will be a team player, have excellent client facing and communication skills.

Type: Small animal
Hours: Full time, 4 days per week
Weekends: 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:30am to 12pm
OOH: 1 night per week on-call holding the phone, duty room available to sleep
Sole charge: 1 day per week
Computer system: Robovet
Team: 7 vets and 10 nurses
Consultations: 15 minutes

About you:
You will be competent in routine surgeries - dependent on experience support available
The role is determined on years of experience and be catered to suit but ultimately the Vet needs to be ambitious looking to develop clinical skills and knowledge further and work towards a certificate
You will always deliver a high standard of clinical care
You will have excellent customer facing skills and enjoy establishing and building your own client base
You will work well within the team alongside other veterinary specialists and clinicians
You will be a passionate and motivated veterinary surgeon with a genuine interest for animal welfare
You will be ambitious to develop your clinical skill set and knowledge
You will enjoy working within a busy practice with a wide variety of cases

Package:
Salary: \xc2\xa345,000 to \xc2\xa360,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
Holidays: 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
