We are recruiting a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon for an independent, small animal practice in Banbury, Oxfordshire.
This is a full time for 4 days per week from 8am to 6:30pm. Weekends will involve night shifts and day-only shifts will be on rotation with the large vet team. TheOOH shifts will be a mix of full weekend and occasional short consult shift only. There will be no weekday nights as the practice has a dedicated night team.
A surgical bias is advantageous, and they would like someone who loves dealing with clients and their pets and who takes their own initiative. They allow complete clinical freedom to manage and work up cases with support and training from experienced vets, should the need arise. Mentoring is offered via designated internal staff and external support through the mentoring scheme. They actively encourage medical and surgical development for all stages of your career.
The role requires work on-site at a busy hospital and occasional sole charge at branch, with realistic 15-minute consults.
Key details:

Hours: Full time, 4 days per week, 8am to 6:30pm
Weekends: Night shifts, days only on rotation with large SA Vet team
OOH: Weekends only (mix of full weekend and occasional short consult shift only), no weekday nights as we have a night team

Branch work: Yes, around 1 day per week
Team: Large SA Vet team (approx. 16 Vets) supported by large Nurse, Assistant and Reception teams

Package:
Salary: \xc2\xa345,000 to \xc2\xa365,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
Holidays: 7 weeks annual leave, including bank holidays
