Permanent Veterinary Nurse - Swansea, West Glamorgan

We are recruiting on behalf of a practice in Swansea, West Glamorgan for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse. This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 4 days, along with 1 in 4 weekends with time off in lieu the following week. Part time applications will also be considered. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
The practice is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join them. The Nurse would be joining a team of 2 vets, 4 nurses and support team. The practice encourage the development of areas of special interest and support and funding towards certificates is available.
Who are they looking for
The practice is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic veterinary nurse and someone who has excellent customer service and communication skills. The nurse will embrace all aspects of the role and enjoy clinical nursing, in patient care and surgical nursing. They will be passionate about their work and have a positive attitude. They will work well as part of the team and share in the practices ethos of providing a supporting environment to each other. They will have a friendly and down to earth manner and be able to work well under pressure and work both independently and as part of a team. They will have an empathetic attitude and be able to build strong client relationships.
The roles involve all aspects of general nursing including:
Admissions an discharges
Assisting in diagnostics - taking x-rays
Be responsible and take ownership of tasks
Monitoring operations and assisting the Vet in surgery
Administering medications and taking records accurately
Dispensing drugs
In patient care
Nurse clinics
Measuring blood pressure, sampling, and pharmacy work.
Occasional reception cover if required
Undertaking CPD

Package:
Salary: \xc2\xa324,000 to \xc2\xa330,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
