We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full time basis. There is a 1:6/7 OOH rota with one per week. They are looking for a Vet who will oversee the growth of the clinical team and help the practice reach targets.

The role
The Vet would be responsible for ensuring that all SOPs are up to date within the practice and they would ensure the continual growth and development of the practice and that productivity targets are met.
The role involves all aspects of Veterinary duties including diagnostics, consultations and surgeries. It also involved providing ongoing support to the Veterinary team and working closely with the Clinical Directors and Practice Manage to ensure that high standards are being met.
This is a full time role with a OOH rota of 1:6 / 7 weekends and one night per week. Day working hours run from 8.30am - 5pm.
Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run / holidays /lifestyle.
The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.
About them:
Established Rural practice.
They are soon to be PSS accredited.
The practice is fully equipped offering a wide range of diagnostics and veterinary services including an in house lab, ultrasound, dental and digital x-ray, endoscopy. They perform orthopaedics onsite.
They provide their own OOH. This involved the duty Vet working the evening surgery until 7pm and then there is a pager system in place with an emergency operator enabling the Vets to be on call from home. Tine off is provided once a weekend and night on call worked.
They have a team of 9 Vets and 5 Nurses, 2 SVNs and support staff. They have a variety of experience and the practice are passionate about coaching and mentoring people to reach their full potential.
They have a great local reputation and pride themselves on the communication in terms of client care that they provide. They regularly are involved with local charity events.
They provide a support work environment and encourage team members to pursue areas of special interest.
The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

Salary: Up to \xc2\xa375,000 pro rata commensurate to experience
Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave incl bank holidays increasing with service and birthday off
CPD: \xc2\xa31,250 allowance with 5 days to attend
