We are recruiting on behalf of a mixed animal practice in Hay-on-Wye, Wales for a Permanent Farm and Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is part time with 1 in 4 weekends and 1 night on-call per week.

Team: 4 small animal vets, 1 mixed vets, 1 TB tester, 2 large animal vets, 6 RVNs and 1 SVN
The role
Flexible working pattern available which the practice are happy to discuss
Farm work will involve beef cattle and sheep. Small holders offer a mixture of goats, alpacas and poultry
The role will involve being proactive in the approach to the health and welfare of the animals
The role offers a varied equine caseload. They deal with Thoroughbred and Standardbred trainers, pleasure horses;studs, trekking stables and semi feral mountain pony herds. The position offers the Vet the opportunity to develop in cases such as dentistry, lameness / performance investigations and stud work
The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.
The practice understand the importance of a good work life balance and they provide support for development.

Located in a popular market town close to Hereford. Great outdoor activities and a plethora of local amenities
They have a certificate holding Vets all of whom gained them whilst working in the practice.
They have a team of 4 small animal Vets, 1 Mixed animal,1 TB tester and 2 large animal Vets
They also have a supportive team of 6 RVNs and 1 SVN
They work with local animal charities
They are able to offer a wide variety of modern veterinary services and offer facilities to hospitalise calves, sheep and horses
The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.
They encourage Vets to establish strong working relationships with clients therefore they strongly believe in case continuity where possible.
They can support areas of special interest which they also believe will benefit the services within the practice.

About you
The practice are open to various levels of experience and can support a newly graduated Vet or a Vet who is looking for a lifestyle change
The Vet will be happy to contribute to the OOH rota
The Vet will be a team player, with good interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong working relationships.
The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills.
The Vet will always maintain a high standard of clinical care
Package
Salary: Up to \xc2\xa365,000 pro rata commensurate to experience
Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
CPD: Generous allowance of \xc2\xa31,250 with 5 days to attend
