Job Description
We are recruiting for a Social Worker to work within a Fostering team in South East starting 29/08/2023.
Successful applicants should demonstrate experience of managing and supervising foster care placements in accordance with the UK national standards for Foster Care, Code of Practice and Fostering Services Regulations; the ability to keep abreast of changes in legislation and national/local initiatives; and the knowledge and organisation skills required to manage and support an allocated caseload and undertake other professional duties as necessary.
We\'d like to hear from candidates who can maintain information on all aspects of the work record, conduct user feedback to ascertain the views of carers about the service to inform service delivery, and respond to placement requests. The successful applicant may also assist in decision-making concerning the placements.
Applicants should be flexible, adaptable and act with confidentiality in order to establish trusting relationships with carers at assessment stage. Their work should ensure quality care and support during first placements, and they should be confident in assisting with devising and facilitating training programmes with other team members.
