This role is based in Leeds with flexibility to work Monday to Thursday, four days a week, and travel primarily across the Yorkshire region, with occasional national travel.
What you'll be doing
We are looking for our next Performance and Careers Manager to join our award-winning Talent, Development & Inclusion team. You'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our workforce, managing our day-to-day performance and talent management approaches, including processes, data and insight, systems and initiatives to meet our organisational capability priorities.
You will manage our established performance and career cycle, our investment in talent centred initiatives and bring a data driven mindset to our performance and talent processes. Using data and insight you will inform talent planning and measure impact to build workforce capabilities and colleague engagement for the future. Key accountabilities include:
Performance & Career Management: Manage and enhance our performance management approach to enable colleague engagement, growth and productivity
Talent & Performance Solutions: Develop and maintain our performance and career platform, enhancing its capabilities and ensuring that it continues to meet our organisational needs
Talent Review: Supporting and enabling our annual talent review process, ensuring we build internal skills in calibration and talent assessment so we can identify emerging talent and build succession strength
Talent Development: Manage our suite of talent and career tools to support development and to attract, retain, and progress top talent across our organisation
Data and Insight: Manage and interrogate data, identify and analyse trends and draw insights which informs and shapes our Performance, Talent and Inclusion processes
What we're looking for
We are looking for someone with experience of Performance and Talent Management across a large complex organisation, who understands and has applied talent assessment methodology on scale. You'll also bring experience of how to leverage the latest thinking and best practice in the assessment of potential.
You'll have expertise and strong literacy in managing robust data, be that it's collection, analysis or interpretation. Skilled at using data tools such as Excel, and business intelligence/visualisation tools such as Qlik and/or Power BI, along with excellent attention to detail and a passion for quality, your skills will help shape future priorities.
Experience of having managed talent software, performance systems, reporting suites and working with internal IT teams and third-party software developers would be beneficial.
