Do you have a passion for data analysis and experience in communicating your findings to support performance? The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) are looking for a performance analyst to join their business centre team in CPS Thames and Chiltern.
At the CPS, our duty is to make sure the right person is prosecuted for the right offence. We are responsible for delivering justice through the independent and effective prosecution of criminal cases that have been investigated by the police, and other investigative organisations. As the principal prosecuting authority across England and Wales the nature and diversity of cases we advise on and prosecute means our work is complex and challenging. As a performance analyst you will play a key role in driving forward performance, delivering data analysis and performance reports to help identify opportunities for improvement and changes in CPS Thames and Chiltern area, and the wider business. As the subject matter expert, you will work with your senior management to ensure performance objectives and task management on their systems are suitable and accurate, to enable the area to operate effectively. In your role you will monitor performance controls, and review these regularly, promoting data driven decisions based on your performance findings; recommending solutions and actions where required. You will also be a key contributor within the Criminal Justice System (CJS) performance analytical community, working with colleagues from police, HMCTS and other organisations to share opportunities for improvement.
We are looking for an individual with a keen eye for detail, who is motivated to develop and maintain performance through the accurate analysis of data. You will have the ability to make data come to life, enabling your senior management and the wider business to understand your findings, and what is required to improve. You will be working with colleagues across your area, across the CPS and CJS, so being able to work collaboratively and sharing good practise will be key. Having previous experience of databases and systems including Excel is essential for this role, and being able to communicate your insights will be vital.
