Hours:

16 hours per week

Shift Pattern:

Working 16 hours Monday to Friday. There is flexibility to either work 2 x 8 hour days or spread the 16 hours over 3 or 4 days.

Work pattern:

This is a 365 day operation therefore there may be an need to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays in accordance with business needs

The Role

West Midlands Safari Park is currently sourcing candidates for the role of People Administrator.



The successful candidate will assist the Head of People, Development & Culture and the ER & People Manager in driving the People, Development and Cultural strategies forward to help support the overall growth, performance and employee net promoter score for WMSP and it's employees. The role will provide support to the People, Development and Culture team with all aspects of People and culture related tasks and support where required on Employee Development initiatives.



The successful candidate will be initial point of contract for staff and managers to deal with day-to-day queries regarding the administration process for Recruitment, offboarding process, generalised performance management support and data reporting metrics.



The ideal candidate will bring an infectious energy to the PDC team and work in alignment with all departments across the park supporting all colleagues on generalised people and culture matters and help to cultivate a site culture that promotes trust, learning and behaviours that reflect and embody our company values.



Above all, we're looking for someone with a key interest and focus on all things people, who is self-motivated to achieve success and drive positive and proactive change through working in alignment with all teams across the park.



Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:



Supporting the company's recruitment process in a structured and planned way ensuring all recruitment meets company and legal requirements at all times Ensure that all recruitment requests are approved prior to recruitment and are administered in a timely and efficient manner. Send Exit interview questionnaires and highlight any response concerns to the ER & People Manager and Head of People, Development & Culture Send confirmation of resignation acceptance letters Liaise with HR &Training Administrator to complete all offboarding cancellation processes on systems To produce a monthly HR report and statistics. Complete the sickness calculations weekly for the Bradford factor report and advise of next step actions where improvement milestones have been reached. To support the ER & People Manager with providing line managers with advice and guidance on performance management processes including PIP's and informal meetings and/or letters of concern. Promote a culture that aligns to the WMSP Company Values, Behaviours and Attitudes Minute taking for meetings both informal and formal meetings.

About you

To be considered for interview your experience and skills set should demonstrate:

2 years' experience in a similar role Previous experience of working within a People or HR department is desirable. Experience of working within an administrative role dealing with high volumes of work and competing deadlines The ability to maintain a position of trust and confidentiality The ability to work under your own initiative is key with the adaptability for change in a fast-paced customer facing environment. Evidence of strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to positively influence team members A positive 'can-do' attitude and be used to multi-tasking, balancing deadlines and workloads.
