PEI Business Support Officer
Job description Contract Type: Permanent Hours: 21 hours per week We are currently looking for a Business Support Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for \xe2\x80\x93 assisting in providing a business support service to the Community Support, Prevention and Early Intervention. The main duties of the post;
To receive and assist visitors.
Assist in the answering routine telephone and face to face enquiries.
Liaising with other members of staff and the public.
Administration
Assist in the provision of routine clerical support including photocopying, filing, e-mailing, completing routine forms and telephony duties.
Assist in the maintenance of manual and computerised records/management information systems and process information in accordance with defined procedures and standards.
Where directed, undertake typing, word processing, Data entry and other IT based tasks.
Assist in the sorting and distribute of mail.
Undertake routine administration in support of the functions of the PEI Department.
You will have experience in/of; You must have the ability to type, work as part of a Team, and have a flexible and committed approach to assist in providing clerical & administrative support. An ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, service users and members of the public is essential. You must also be prepared to undertake in-house or external training/qualifications in regards to the role. Ideally you will have; Applicants will need a reasonable standard of education to GCSE (or equivalent) grades C and above. The successful applicant will be expected to work towards an NVQ Level 2 Qualification in Business Administration if you do not hold one already. Access to suitable transport i.e. driving licence/car is essential. Being able to effectively travel to locations for an 8.30am start is essential in getting to the positions.
