We are actively recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our PCB team in Cheltenham. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to come on board and use their engineering experience to prepare and review procedures, identify, and implement the delivery of process improvements, lead & co-ordinate complex shop floor issues that will help determine the most effective and lean method of manufacture. You would also help support delivery plans with overall business awareness and ensure quality & compliance standards are met.
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for designated overall process health. (SMT/Selective solder/Varnish/Automated adhesive dispensing)
Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers.
Drive accountability through daily/weekly operating rhythms to ensure ME driven tasks are completed in line with production requirements.
Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements.
Analyse and report on production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, availability of machines and waste management
Key stakeholder during new equipment selection in line with process and industry best practice.
Ensure that the organisation\xe2\x80\x99s manufacturing processes comply with relevant policies and regulations.
Coordinating maintenance and repair services to keep production equipment operational.
Perform risk and mitigation assessments.
Identify/evaluate improvement opportunities.
Proactively manages workload.
Communicates to internal/external customers and functional leadership.
Desired Experience
Process engineering SPC, PFD. PFMEA, SIPOC, Control Plans, Process capability analysis, Problem solving, Six Sigma (Green belt or higher)
Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited university or college HNC/HND.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of FAI, MRL, Engineering change management
Experience in Aerospace, Military, Manufacturing, or similar sector
Lean manufacturing
