This role is responsible for administering the payroll and reconciling all payroll related payments as well as providing support in administering HCM/ payroll software. Partnerships with external third parties ranging from public authorities to commercial partners. The person will work closely with Finance and HR teams.
What you'll be doing
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:Preparation of monthly payroll
Responding to payroll queries and maintaining the payroll email inbox
Assisting with preparation of monthly payroll reports
Reconciliations of control accounts
Assisting with year-end audit (for any payroll related aspects)
Administering auto-enrolment and processing pension payments
Applying HMRC notifications, administering RTI submissions and processing P60s
Obtaining and updating costing allocation on Workday
Maintaining ledger accounts set on Workday
Assisting with the collation and analysis of data in respect of various statutory returns - PSA, P11Ds
Identifying, initiating and project managing payroll systems development to streamline payroll data collection, capture and processing
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to manage a seamless payroll cycle
Liaising with the system provider on all payroll related issues ensuring that effective working relationships are maintained

Essential skills you'll bring to the table
The necessary skills that we require for this role include:Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals
Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope
Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations
Experience using Workday
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, end to end payroll experience, ideally covering multiple payrolls
Strong knowledge of Microsoft office, especially Excel
Extensive knowledge of PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, P11D, RTI and auto-enrolment
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent numeracy skills
Accounting experience
Experience with Navision/Business Central/ADP streamline
Knowledge of payroll systems and UK statutory payroll legislation
Desirable skills you've got up your sleeve
It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
