We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll and Accounts Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery for all employees.
This role requires proficiency in various accounting software, including Pegasus Opera and Docuware. The Payroll Administrator will also collaborate with the Human Resources department to maintain employee records and assist with accounts payable functions.
Responsibilities
Process and submit weekly payroll, including any overtime and bonus payments for circa 400 employees.
Process and submit small monthly payroll for subsidiary company.
Process and submit Auto-Enrolment Pension data and payments.
Support with processing holiday pay and holiday pay average.
Deal with employee payroll queries.
Process new starters and leavers.
Maintain all employee personnel files, ensuring archiving of leavers and cleansing of information held in line with the Data Protection Act.
Perform any other payroll/HR duties as required by the business
Sales ledger administration.
Posting sales ledger receipts.
Petty cash.
Supporting month end processes.
Posting supplier invoices on automated document system (Docuware).
Reception cover one to two afternoons a week and during holidays.
Perform any other accounts duties as required by the business.
Skills and competency requirements
Experience of Pegasus Opera is advantageous, however, experience of a computerised payroll system is a requirement of the role.

Knowledge of HMRC current legislation, e?g? NI rates, statutory payments etc.
Experience of working as part of a busy and varied accounts department is essential.
Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills are required.
Flexibility with hours during peak periods of work is expected.
