About the Role
Applications are invited for a Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Coordinator to support the development and implementation of a PPIE strategy for the Barts Clinical Trials Unit network. The role will contribute to the Barts Charity funded ACT programme (Advancing substantial improvements in health through optimally design Clinical Trials) with the aim to improve the quality and impact of our research by facilitating PPIE in trials, increasing trial participation, educating patients/public about trials, organising events and outreach activities.
The Wolfson Institute of Population Health (WIPH) harnesses expertise across a wide range of population based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health and preventive medicine.
The post-holder will work in the Centre for Evaluation and Methods (CEM), a new and thriving research centre that incorporates four collaborative units who work closely together to deliver outstanding research based on their combined and complementary research strengths. The post-holder will be expected to forge links with other Centres within WIPH, and more widely within QMUL.
About You
You will have an undergraduate degree with experience in project and/or event management. You will have experience of working with patients and the public in a higher education or NHS/community setting. You will be highly motivated to embed high quality PPIE practice into our portfolio of trials and work with innovative patient groups and the public to support this.

The post is based at the Charterhouse Square/Whitechapel Campus in London. It is Full time (35 hours per week)/Part-time post (min 0.8FTE), fixed term appointment for 3 years (until 31/05/2026). The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of \xc2\xa338,165- \xc2\xa344,722 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance. Staff are currently hybrid working, there will be an expectation to work on site 3 days/week.
