Our client in St Mawes have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Pastry Chef to join their kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
Creating amazing Bread, Pastry, Desserts, Chocolates, Petits Fours, Ice Cream, Sorbets and other products as your imagination creates
Managing a Commis Chef and delegating work
Ordering and stock taking of all produce on section
Ensuring that the restaurant is always fully stocked with fresh produce to excite and encourage customer spend
Constantly seeking new ingredients and techniques to improve customer dining experience
Make menu suggestions and understand costing implications
Actively participate in Kitchen Team meetings
About You:
3-4 years previous demi pastry/Chef de Partie experience
Passion for pastry and fantastic ingredients
Possess a creative imagination
Be calm and focused in a high pressure, busy environment
Be committed and self-motivated
Be competent at bread making
Willingness to learn and a great commitment towards work
This is a full-time permanent role paying up to \xc2\xa313.50 per hour plus tips
Due to the location of the Hotel, own transport is required or live in accommodation is available.
