South Wales Industrial Equipment Ltd are successful local business that has been serving customers in and around the South Wales region since 2001.

We are Main Dealers for Global Brand Manufacturers and as a consequence, supply and maintain Forklift Trucks and Ancillary Equipment.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to hire an energetic Parts Planner to work in our parts/stores department.

Using job-based information from our service and after-sales teams, you will create parts lists and costs from a framework of suppliers via manufacturers online parts catalogs and local industry related factors/suppliers .

An overview of the day-to-day responsibilities....

Establish part numbers required for repairs. Price parts for quotations.

Order specific parts for special requirements. Order stock parts for replenishment.

Manage any returns to suppliers as required. Arrange local reworking/repair parts.

Order Automotive spare parts for company vehicles.

Progress Chase Outstanding PO's to ensure timely delivery.

Support other members of the procurement/stores team as required.

Supporting Mobile Engineers with parts updates on urgent repairs

he successful candidate would ideally have ...

Experience in establishing best price comparison options where possible

Work under tight deadlines. Ability to prioritise workload. Good document housekeeping.

Good telephone manner. Forward thinking ability to plan ahead of requirement.

Process documents accurately in a timely manner. Understand customers geographical locations and priorities.

Attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication, flexibility, and a team player.

Experience using Computers and software would be ideal. Previous experience in a parts/stores environment forklift or automotive industry before but not essential as training will be provided.

Can-do attitude, self-motivated & keen to contribute to the success of the team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-13.70 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
