A fabulous live-out, nanny position has become available, working with a professional and friendly family in St Albans, Hertfordshire. This active and sporty family is seeking a kind and energetic nanny who will have fun with the children and feel like part of the family. Although the parents work from home some days, this will be a sole charge position. The family live in a modernised Victorian house, within walking distance of the city centre.

The hours will be Monday-Friday, 14.00-19.00 (25 hours). There is also the flexibility for this to be a four day role (Monday-Thursday), if that worked better for the nanny. There could be the possibility of some additional ad hoc hours in the school holidays, but these will be negotiated separately.

You will be looking after two active, bright and happy children; a little girl aged six years and her brother who is eighteen months old. The eldest goes to school each day.

The children like to have fun outside in the garden, going to the park, playing imaginary games as well as indoor activities like arts and crafts, baking, reading stories and singing songs.

As well as the school run, you will have some time before pick up at home to help keep the family organised. This includes tasks such the family laundry, keeping the children\'s bedrooms and playroom organised and tidy, ensuring they have everything they need for the next day (uniform prepared, etc) and keeping on top of any school admin. Although the family employ a weekly cleaner, any help to keep the house running smoothly would be appreciated (keeping the kitchen tidy, emptying the dishwasher, running the occasional errand, unloading the online shopping delivery, etc). Taking the dog for a walk could also be part of the role.

In the school holidays, the parents would like you to take the children on fun and educational day trips and activities, meeting up with their friends to help them to socialise, keeping them happy and safe at all times.

You will be responsible for preparing healthy and nutritious meals for the family each day, preferably homemade whenever possible. At the end of the day, you will leave all used rooms tidy, ready for the parents to take over.

You should be a careful and confident driver with a clean driving licence. There is a family car available to use.
